The “I Got Shot” campaign is part of a larger effort to promote healthy communities. By encouraging others to receive the flu shot you are making a statement…that you are looking out for the best interest of the community as a whole.
Many people misunderstand the purpose for the flu shot. Not only will it reduce the risk of your getting sick, but more importantly you help to stop the spread of sickness throughout your community. Think about those around you who may be more vulnerable to illness…you are doing your part in helping them have a better chance of staying healthy.
So wear your “I Got Shot” button in your community this season and encourage others to not only get the flu shot, but let their doctors know!
